No data collected
The EduLink NZ Education Finder iOS app currently collects no personal data. It does not require an account, does not use advertising SDKs, does not track users across apps or websites, and does not upload searches, saved items, comparisons, or location preferences to EduLink servers.
Saved lists, recently viewed items, language preference, and local data package state are stored on the device. Users can clear local saved and recent lists inside the app.
Public data and remote updates
The app uses public New Zealand Ministry of Education / Education Counts institution data. Remote updates download public data packages over HTTPS and verify manifest signature, SHA-256 hash, package size, schema version, app identity, and institution counts before accepting an update.
Support email is sent only when a user chooses to send it through the system mail app. EduLink does not automatically collect contacts, photos, precise location, or other personal records in the background.
